Three of these vans were built to convey laundry from the MS&LR, later GCR, hotels and the company laundry at New Holland. Uniquely they were built with a passenger compartment which was designated a first class at the grouping, but has the length of an 1880s second class compartment. It is believed that this compartment was reserved for compny officials.

The body nd underframe are about complete. The roof and brakes still need work.
